The Past

Dwell's development was started in 2012 and has continued through years of hard work and change. Originally called "Project Colonies", a basic version of the game was silently uploaded in Spring 2013. Players created villages, traded, and waged wars for two months until the game was taken down for development. Since then, the game has been rewritten in C# (using Monogame and Enet).

The Future

Dwell will be released on Steam (check the development page for specific dates) for PC, Mac, and Linux. We hope to support ~800 people on core regional servers, but we're still figuring out some details. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on our forums!


The Team

We're Punkdrift-- an indie game development studio created by Brady Welch in 2014. Brady does most of the development (including programming, art, and design), but has collaborative help from Michael Jackson (pixel art and design), Sophia Anna (pixel art), and Patrick Egan (music).
